Vineyard: “ROLEI”, covers an area of 2,0 ha, 290 metres a.s.l, with sun exposure at south-west.

Soil: Clayey limestone
Cultivation method: Planted and grown in rows, Guyot method of pruning, 80 cm distance between the plants, 2,5 metres between each row, density of 5000 vines/ha.
Harvest: manual
Vinification: Fermentation occurs in vitrified cement vats with controlled temperature and lengthy maceration of the wine’s solid parts ( skins and twigs).Total absence of filtrations until bottling.
Colour: Ruby red with purple reflections
Bouquet: Winy and fruity, faint traces of cherry and redcurrent.
Flavour: Smooth and well-balanced, pleasantly acidic with a good after-taste.
Best accompanied by: a wine that can be drunk through out the whole meal, ideal with Piedmontese starters, first courses and white meats. Serve at 16° - 18° in medium sized wine glasses. |
