Vineyard: “ ROLEI” , covers an area of 1,0 ha, 290 metres a.s.l, with sun exposure at south-west
Soil: Clayey limestone
Cultivation method: Planted and grown in rows, Guyot method of pruning, 80cm distance between the plants, 2,5 metres between each row, density of 5000 vines/ha.
Harvest: manual
Vinification: Fermantation occurs in vitrified cement vats with controlled temperature and lengthy maceration of the wine’s solid parts ( skins and twigs). Total absence of filtrations until bottling.
Colour: Intense ruby red
Bouquet: rich and persistent with traces of ripe fruits such as blackberries, plums and black cherries, enhanced by a delicate spicy note.
Flavour: Full bodied and smooth. Palatable, rich with an intense flavour of red fruits, with a slight acidic note and sweet and even tannins.
Best accompanied by: Ideal with elaborate second courses based on meat or mature cheeses. Also appreciated whilst deep in thought. Serve at 18°- 20° in large wine glasses.
